Clinical Supervision

As a Licensed Psychologist (#6301011878) in Michigan, Dr. Gall is available to provide supervision to individuals with TLLP or LLP credentials. Dr. Gall utilizes developmental, orientation-specific, and integrative models of supervision.

DEVELOPMENTAL MODELS
Developmental models are broken up into four levels based on the belief that supervisees develop their psychotherapeutic knowledge, skills, and competence over time. This means that Dr. Gall will match the style and structure to the level he feels the supervisee is at.

ORIENTATION- SPECIFIC MODELS
In orientation-specific models, the way a supervisor approaches the work with their supervisees is the same way they approach their patients. The orientation-specific models used by Dr. Gall include gestalt, focused expressive, cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, solution-focused, and multimodal.

INTEGRATIVE MODELS
Supervisees may desire more than one of the orientation-specific models, as working with only one therapeutic model may be too limiting. In this case Dr. Gall is willing to take an integrative model approach which combines more than one of the above therapeutic models.

Regardless of the models of supervision used, Dr. Gall focuses on the following skills: maintaining a working relationship, observing, evaluating, supporting, providing constructive feedback, facilitating self-evaluation, mentoring, case conceptualization, and mutual problem solving.
