Patricia Beasley, L.C.S.W.

Patricia Beasley graduated from Oakland University in 1989 and began working in the field of substance
abuse counseling. She worked in both outpatient and residential clinical settings in Wayne and Macomb
Counties.

In 2005, Patricia graduated from Wayne State University with a Master of Social Work degree where she
completed clinical internships working with children in educational settings and a domestic violence
shelter. Since earning her MSW Patricia has worked at various community mental health agencies in the
Metro Detroit communities. Patricia has experience in working with children and adults coping with
mental health issues including anxiety, depression, divorce, autism and ADHD. Patricia also works in
treating chemical dependencies with alcohol and substance abuse with adults and teens.

Many former clients have described Patricia’s style of therapy as “down to earth and easy going.” She
also incorporates humor as a powerful tool during counseling sessions. She utilizes several treatment
interventions including cognitive behavioral therapy, Structural Family Therapy and Trauma Treatment.
